For the Year of Saint Joseph, pupils within the diocesan schools have been asked to explore Vocation through creative and innovative artwork and win prizes for themselves and the school. This year’s theme is ‘Patris Corde – With a Father’s Heart’ .
The Art, Design & Technology department got involved and Year 7’s were asked to submit their creative artwork that depicts or links to Saint Joseph.
We have been very impressed with the standard of work that was submitted which made our job in selecting the 3 best entries for the diocesan extremely difficult.
The ADT department and Ms Hazeldine have voted for the best 3 entries made from the following pupils:
- Holly Portlock DMO
- Manveer Tiyur 7KEV
- Mohammad Rashid 7JBA
One winner and one runner-up will be announced on Friday 23rd April 2021. Mrs Devi will let you know. GOOD LUCK!!
As part of their The Catholic Life target, Easter at St Edmund’s, Miss Harding, Miss Mahay, Miss Mann and Miss Gallagher organised an Easter Prayer Project.
Students were asked to write a prayer in their native language, supported by the Modern Foreign Languages Department, to create a multicultural prayer display.
Staff collected over 65 Easter eggs and £50 in donations from St Edmund’s colleagues which has been presented to The Haven, Wolverhampton.
