Dementia Awareness Week is all about supporting people with dementia and making the UK a dementia-friendly place.
Many people with dementia feel cut off from their community, lose friendships and face the condition alone. Every person deserves to be treated with respect. Dementia does not take away a person’s right to this. There are ways that we can help. Whether it’s learning about dementia to have better our knowledge or volunteering with The Alzheimer’s Society, there are many things we can do to make the UK more dementia-friendly.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. – John 14:27
