“Is this what heaven’s like?” “Do people get married here?” These student questions were not about a normal day at St Edmunds, even though most days are pretty good, these were reactions from members of the Gardening Club when they visited one of the best rose gardens in the country.
The Lion Garden
We had gone to David Austin Roses, which is just twenty minutes from school on the minibus to Albrighton and were loving it. We wandered through their five different rose gardens on a lovely, bright afternoon and everybody appreciated the sensory experience of the beautiful borders with their range of designs, structures, colours and scents, picking out their favourite roses. It was a very wonderful way to end the school day.
