St Edmund’s students have achieved fantastic GCSE results this year with 66% of Year 11 attaining 5 or more GCSEs at grade C or above. 16% of grades were A* and A, and 38% of entries grading A* to B. In the new Government “Progress 8” measures that gives us a very promising 0.14 score
Highest achieving students include Arnav Sharma with 8 A* and 2 A grades, Jakub Kolasa with 6 A*, 1 B and 2 C grades, Andrew Caron with 4 A *, 6 A and 1 B grade, Nathanael Haile with 3 A *, 6 A and 1 B grade, Magdalena Kot with 1 A* , 7 A and 2 B grades and Ellie McGrath with 2 A *, 5 A and 3 B grades.
Students have done particularly well this year in GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry, English, French, Geography, Italian, PE, Photography, Polish, Physics, Spanish Use of Maths and BTEC Sports where 70%, or more, students achieved A* – C grades.

The students, their families, teachers and support staff can be justly proud of Year 11 2016. We are thrilled that so many will be returning to join our Sixth Form in September.’
