On Friday 30th September, Sixth Form students conducted a bake sale for lower-school pupils where the aim was to raise money for MacMillan coffee morning. MacMillan is an organisation dedicated to supporting cancer patients throughout the country, alongside fundraising and contributing towards medicinal research and awareness.
Throughout the week, Sixth Form students were offered the opportunity to donate Ā£1 or a box of cakes to the sale in return for wearing non-uniform. The pupils showed a strong sense of community and compassion as they came together to donate while also flaunting their fashionable outfits. Some students took this a step further, taking the initiative to take part in running the stall. This involved handing out cakes while also managing the money collected and making sure the younger pupils queued in a safe and orderly manner. They displayed their impressive leadership skills and teamwork.
Overall, the bake sale turned out to be a huge success! Thanks to the contributions from staff and students all over the school, we were able to raise a fantastic Ā£266.85. A true display of our schoolās CARE values! It was a great day and the studentās hard work allowed for a joyous experience while raising money for a wonderful cause.
