“£100,000 a week is keeping me in food…”, declared the “new” manager, Christian Matudidi (year 9) in a spoof interview with BBC Young Reporters also from St Edmund’s.

We were at an event organised by the Wolves and the BBC at the Molineux. Ten Year 9 students had an enjoyable and informative day developing communication skills, getting career tips and having a behind the scenes tour of the stadium.

We started off with commentating on a Wolves match, then moved on to the tour, followed by  teams of 2-4 creating their own video interviews and finished off with hearing how people had got jobs in the media.

Perhaps we should be grateful that Christian doesn’t turn his management skills to the school day, or else we might find ourselves with 4:00am starts, as he was suggesting for the footballers.
