We held our annual Stars of St Edmund’s event this afternoon. This is the highlight of our academic year when students receive certificates and awards for their hard work during the previous year.

Our Principal Speaker was Walker Darke, a St Edmund’s former student, and lead author of the United Nations Roadmap to Carbon Neutrality for Europe, North America, and Central Asia – a big plan to tackle climate change.

In 2023, Walker made history as the first person from Wolverhampton to appear on the Forbes Under 30 list. He earned the spot thanks to his work on sustainable development with international organisations like the UN Industrial Development Organization, UN Economic Commission for Europe, UN Development Programme and the European Union.

Thank you Walker for inspiring pupils to aim high in the profession and choices they make, highlighting the importance of being green and being informed about climate change and overcoming the negativity of who we are and where we are from.

Our musical item ‘How Far I’ll Go’ from Moana was performed by Anna Lakeland and Cleo Lovatt.
