What are you studying ?
I am currently studying: Maths, History and Chemistry.
Why did you choose those subjects?
Maths has always been a subject that has intrigued me as it provides me the opportunity to use and adapt rules to tackle mathematical problems and solve them. History is a subject that not only interests me but allows me to realise how the world’s mindset and beliefs have changed over time. I do believe that studying history teaches me to appreciate the world I live in now and question how life could be if events had gone differently. Whilst Chemistry is a subject I never thought I would enjoy, learning about particles and molecules that cannot be seen with the naked eye, which are the foundations for all objects and surround us, fascinates me.
What do you hope to do in the future ?
In the future I hope to study Law at University as my passion for law stems from the idea of continuously having to face new challenges frequently through cases. I hope to be a solicitor, specialising in criminal or family law.
Do you have any hobbies ?
I enjoy working out as not only does it help take the stress that comes with A levels, but also helps me to form a more positive outlook on things. I have been a chemistry mentor for year 11 and I look forward to extending this to years 7- 9. In year 12 I have enjoyed taking part in the charity events and look forward to taking a lead and organising events.

What are you studying?
Biology, Chemistry and History
Why did you choose the subjects?
As a young girl, I always loved how science was able to answer questions about the universe, especially chemistry as it helps you understand the world and challenges ideas. It allows me to research and use problem-solving skills to expand my knowledge as well as to understand simple ideas. The human body fascinates me which is why I chose biology as not only am I able to develop my teamwork and practical abilities I can also learn how we as humans carry out simple metabolic processes. It helps with my analytical thinking, just like history, as I love uncovering how different society, beliefs and politics were in the past. I’m able to develop a better understanding of the world in addition to engaging in exploring and understanding the past.
What do you hope to do in the future?
In the future, I hope to go to university and undertake a degree which will allow me to work in the healthcare industry.
Do you have any hobbies?
In my spare time, I love to volunteer in my local community, which includes the hospital and even my parish church as I am a big believer in helping others as much as you can. I enjoy reading as it allows me to exercise the creative parts of my thought processes, which in turn develops my interpreting skills which I am able to put into practice within my subjects.

What subjects are you currently studying?
I am currently studying: Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Economics
Why did you choose those subjects?
I decided to take Mathematics at A Level because I have been enthralled by and quite fond of the subject since a young age. For instance, I really enjoy how the subject constantly requires me to change the way I approach a question, and be creative with the way I tackle problems at times. Moreover, I love the teamwork and communication element of the subject, and being able to work as part of a team to solve a problem. Due to Mathematics always being my favourite subject, I also opted to take Further Mathematics at A Level to enhance my understanding of how algebra and algorithms can be used to solve real-life problems and bring about an elegant solution. The Pure Mathematics module has to be my favourite, with the matrices topic being the area I take particular interest in. As I got older, I became more and more interested in world news and how certain actions/decisions can have such a huge impact on markets. Naturally, I took economics at GCSE to broaden my knowledge and I thoroughly enjoyed it, in particular the macroeconomics side, looking at the decisions made by the government. As a result I decided to continue it at A Level.
What do you want to do in the future?
Post Sixth Form, I aim to go to university and study Mathematics, as this course would make me very employable and give me several career path options in the future, and my A Levels have given me a great foundation.
Any hobbies?
I do MMA, and compete regularly; it is something I am very passionate about and I believe it is very beneficial physically and mentally. On the other hand, I also really enjoy music, and listen to music throughout the day.

What subjects am I currently studying?
Business, Law and Sociology
Why did you choose these subjects?
All of the subjects that I chose to study were new to me, as I studied none of them at GCSE level. I decided to choose such a varied range of subjects as I was unsure about a career and choosing similar, restricting subjects would have severely limited my future opportunities. Since a young child I have always been interested in being an entrepreneur and having my own business therefore this was a subject that I have been intrigued by. I contemplated studying it at GCSE and, after studying it in Year 12, I regret not picking it for GCSE. Personally, I find the research aspect extremely interesting, investigating how different businesses operate and the downfalls that many entrepreneurs can often encounter. Law was a subject that initially was not my first choice, however, after lots of thinking I came to the decision that, even if I do not go on to study Law at university, it will help me in general day to day life as the judiciary system is a vital aspect of human society, which links to Sociology. I believed that choosing Law would give me a wide range of skills and develop my essay writing and ability to convey balanced arguments. Also, when I started Year 12 I hadn’t decided on the career pathway that I wanted to pursue and Law showed me a substantial amount of opportunities that could occur. Finally, Sociology was an appealing subject to me as it is the study of people within a society and their behaviour. This interested me because I knew it would give me a wider perspective of how society has developed over time and how expectations have varied depending on age, gender or class.
What do you hope to do in the future?
I would like to either go to university or get an apprenticeship. At university I would like to study Business and Accounting because it would enhance my knowledge from studying business at A-level and it would also equip me with a developed range of personal and intellectual skills in preparation for a career in either accounting or give me the foundations to begin my own business, as I first wanted. The alternative option is an apprenticeship in the Business Administration field as it would help me develop my thought process and creativity to improve the success of an organisation, or possibly even my own business.
Do you have any hobbies?
I have always been a major fan of anything to do with football whether it’s just watching or playing myself. I also spend a lot of my free time playing on my xbox or just simply going out with my mates.
